Overview
The Mumbai Climate Week (MCW) Innovation Challenge hosted in partnership with the National Stock Exchange (NSE) invites early-stage, growth-ready, and sector-focused innovators from startups, civil society, academia, and the wider climate ecosystem to showcase breakthrough solutions across Food Systems, Urban Resilience, and Energy Transition. Complementing this, the Youth Green Innovation Challenge hosted in partnership with YuWaah empowers young changemakers (16–24) to imagine and advance bold climate ideas that shape a resilient and future-ready world.

- The Youth Green Innovation Challenge is a national platform that empowers young changemakers (aged 16–24 years) to develop innovative, practical solutions for climate action.
- The Challenge invites youth to submit bold ideas across three key climate themes: Food Systems, Urban Resilience, and Energy Transition. Submissions are welcome at any stage, from early concepts to prototypes or locally tested pilots.
- Selected youth innovators will gain the opportunity to showcase their ideas at Mumbai Climate Week 2026, engage with experts and policymakers, and explore pathways for further support and scale-up.

Who can apply — Youth Green Innovation Track (16–24 years)
The Youth Green Innovation Challenge is open to students, youth groups, and early-stage innovators from India and internationally who are developing creative and impactful climate solutions.
Eligibility requirements
- Age: 16–24 years — Open to individuals or teams within this age group.
Early-stage ideas welcome — No requirement for incorporation or 2+ years of operations. - Solution readiness —
- Concepts supported by basic research
- Prototypes or models
- School or college projects
- Community-led solutions or local pilots
- Thematic alignment (mandatory) —
